The man behind stupendous success of Bagga Link is none other than its CMD, Prem Bagga, an MBA & President, Automobile Traders Association Delhi. Bagga Link’s association with automotive sector goes back to 1952, when K L Bagga, father of Prem Bagga, got a Burma Shell dealership. Prem Bagga joined his father in 1962 when a service station was added to the business. In 1970, Bagga Link got franchise as an authorised service station of Bajaj Auto. Their success as an authorised service centre for Bajaj scooters, helped them in getting the vehicle dealership of Bajaj Auto in 1982. The Group has not looked back since then and has grown from strength to strength. As one of Bajaj's oldest dealers, Bagga Link has grown along with the company and has been one of the top 10 dealers of Bajaj Auto since 1989 when the quota system was abolished and free market ushered in. The dealership has been an undisputed leader in sales of Bajaj 2-wheelers and occupying the top slot since 1993. Over the years, Bagga Link has branched out to many locations. Bagga Link has four showrooms in Delhi at Karol Bagh, Pitampura, Mahipalpur and Budh Vihar. In addition to four workshops located along with showrooms, there is a workshop with an area of 15,000 square feet catering to both two and three-wheelers at Rithala to serve the rural customers. Bagga Link earned the distinction of being the first 2-wheeler dealer in the country to get the ISO 9002 certification from BVQI. At the service levels, Bagga Link has constantly upgraded its systems and raised the levels of automative at the workshops, in fact, one of its workshops services 300 vehicles daily. Not just Prem Bagga, his son Gaurav and other family members are also involved in the automotive and allied business. While his brother Rajinder is at the helm of Bagga Link Motors at Patpar Ganj, who deal in Maruti vehicles, another brother Praveen manages Link Road Filling Station at Link Road, Karol Bagh, dealer of Bharat Petroleum. Gaurav is the Vice President in Bagga Link Service Ltd. Prem Bagga is also actively associated with social activities. He is the Chairman of Police Nagrik Sahyog Samiti, an NGO, which works and coordinates with police in the areas of security, human rights, traffic management and education, neighbourhood watch & ward, de-addiction, etc. He is involved in the activities of Ayaam, another NGO working for the upliftment and development of women. Bagga is also associated with NDMC Action Committee as an advisor.
