FOREWORD
I am happy to note that a book on G-20 is being brought out. The two delegations to USA had not only convinced us that NADA is most active organisation of dealers in the world but even amongst the various programmes of NADA, G-20 has been found to be the most useful and meaningful. This has been very clearly accepted by NADA organisation and with this in view we at FADA decided to also undertake this programme.
During last one year, we could organise 6 meetings for the same apart from some G-10 Groups and found that we are in the right direction and lot of inputs could be given to the dealers by sharing of various dealership practices in various segments of the dealership.
I am sure this book would be found very useful for all the dealers to improve their operations particularly in value additions and body shop in their workshop. Needless to mention there is a very heavy pressure on the dealership viability in view of competition on one side and high expectations of customers added to meager margins on the vehicles. All out efforts needed to be done by the dealers to make the dealership viable and the best way is through value additions such as workshop efficiency, accessories, old vehicle trading, finance etc.
I would like to compliment Mr Deshnidhi Kasliwal as Director of G-20 Programme and Mr Vinay Nevatia as Consultant for making this programme effective. Also, I compliment the other members in the panels for their active participation and valuable contributions. I am sure this programme would provide very useful inputs for all the dealers throughout the country.
