Hem Agencies, Satara
Hem Agencies, a unit of Hem Group of Companies, Satara came
into being on 23rd February 1983 as authorised dealers for
Mahindra & Mahindra tractors. It has been a steady growth
curve for Hem Agencies since then. Today, Hem Agencies operates
dealerships for 3 major auto players in India, namely, M&M
(Tractor Division), TVS Motor Company and Piaggio Vehicles
in 3 different segments of the industry. It has four automobile
showrooms, having ultra modern facilities, located at prime
sites. Hem Agencies is not resting on its laurels and will
be setting up a new dealership at Karad for sale, service
and spares for one more automobile company shortly.
Currently, the three automobile dealerships under the brand
name, Hem Agencies employ 150-strong workforce. Current
turnover of the dealerships is around Rs. 20 crores.
Hem Agencies received the Best Dealer Award from Mahindra
& Mahindra Ltd (Tractor Division) for three consecutive
years from 1993 to 1995 and the Runners-up Award for the
following two years. It was also the proud recipient of
the JD Power Award in Customer Satisfaction from TVS for
the highest growth in the year 2003. Adding to the awards
tally is the Best Showroom Award from Maruti Udyog Ltd in
2001. The saga of Hem Agencies' accomplishments continues.
As recently as January 2006, Hem Agencies was adjudged the
Best Dealer in Maharashtra for recording the highest growth
of 285% in M&M tractor sales during the year 2005.
As is evident from the number of awards, Hem Agencies has
sought to ensure utmost customer satisfaction. Regular meetings
as well as follow-up of customers form an integral part
of its customer relationship management. The dealership
also conducts regular customer contact programmes so as
to sustain its relationships with customers.
The key person behind the stupendous success of Hem Agencies
is none other than Bipin K Shah, one of the partners in
Hem Agencies. He is also the President of Satara Automobile
Dealers Association.

Ltd and AMCO Batteries are allied business activities of
Hem Agencies.

Other business interests of the Hem Group of Companies,
which was established as far back as 1912, include petrol
pumps, transport, import-export, manufacturing of agricultural
implements & tractor-trailers, construction activity, hotels,
etc. The combined turnover of the entire group is in excess
of Rs. 100 crores. |
