Home Sanya Motors, Aurangabad Sanya Motors embarked upon the challenging retail automotive business on 10th November 2001 to engage in 3-8 activity, i.e. the sale, service and spares of passenger cars and multi-utility vehicles manufactured by Tata Motors, in the city of Aurangabad and neighbouring areas, viz., Jalna, Parbhani and Buldhana districts. The dealership currently has on its payrolls a workforce of 120 persons for managing and taking care of its various operations. Sanya Motors has been able to capture a significant urban and rural market in its area of operation. The turnover of the dealership in 2004-05 was around Rs. 56 crores. In a short span of 4 years, Sanya Motors has become a talk of the town, thanks largely to its innovative marketing, professional management, dedicated staff, customer care services and the state-of-art equipment and facilities. The dealership ranked 2nd in Customer Satisfaction for the year 2002-03 in a survey conducted by NFO, a Singapore based agency. Dealership’s sales and service activity has seen a steady growth since its inception. Flow of vehicles to the workshop in 2004-05 was 2.5 times more as compared to the previous year. Similarly, passenger car sales for the year 2004-05 at 1,650 units, witnessed a growth of 30% compared to previous year. The dealership serviced about 14,000 vehicles in 2004-05. The spares consumption in workshop was Rs. 1.62 crores against the target of Rs. 1.50 crores set by Tata Motors. The dealership has round-the-clock "Helpline" for vehicle breakdown services. To ensure complete customer satisfaction, the dealership has a Sales Satisfaction Manager in Sales Department and a Customer Relation Manager in the workshop. Sacheen Madhukar Mulay, who is the Managing Director of Sanya Motors has been the architect of tremendous growth of the dealership business. This young engineer hails form a business family in Aurangabad, engaged in civil construction business for the last 35 years, carrying out irrigation projects, highways projects, mass housing schemes in Maharashtra and nearby States. The family is also into the production of hybrid seeds & tissue culture. During the year 2004, a new dealership of Skoda at Aurangabad for the entire Marathwada region (Maharashtra State) was added by the name ‘Sarra Motors Pvt Ltd’.
