Mumbai Dealers Meet

A meeting of automobile dealers based in Mumbai was held on 4th June 2005 at Hotel Mayfair Rooms, Worli.

The meeting was convened to discuss the Pilot to be launched by FADA in association with other institutes under which FADA will offer training courses for Workshop supervisor, Spare Parts Supervisor and Sales Executive. The programme will cover Mumbai and Pune, to start with, and will be extended to other places in the country in phased manner depending on the response and success of pilot. K N Malshe, a management consultant and formerly associated with Bajaj Auto as GM (Mktg), who will be piloting the project on behalf of FADA made a presentation on the structure and workability of the programme at the meeting.

The members also had an opportunity to interact with B C Khatua, Sales Tax Commissioner, Govt of Maharashtra, who was invited by FADA to clarify doubts and queries of auto dealers on issues relating to VAT. Khatua agreed to consider favourably some of the suggestions, put forth at the meeting.
