FADA’s Office Bearers for the Year 2008-09 S P Shah, President S P Shah, a Mechanical Engineer, studied in USA. After return from USA, he joined his family business in Textile at Ahmedabad. Shah joined TELCO (now Tata Motors) in 1966, worked for 25 years, as a General Sales Manager. During his service in Telco, he was responsible for marketing of TATA Vehicles and also their service & spare parts activities. In 1991, Shah ventured into automobile service and emission testing equipment business. He is the Chairman and MD of Neptune Equipment Pvt Ltd - one of the largest Automobile Servicing Equipment manufacturers in India having collaboration with various companies in Italy, USA, China, Germany, etc. The Neptune equipments are supplied to large number of automobile dealers and transport organisations. He has travelled abroad extensively to explore business opportunities and cooperation. Neptune Equipment Pvt Ltd has recently started export of Garage Equipment in Nigeria joining hands with leading automobile dealers and establishing four dealerships for the business in that country. He has also started Neptune Institute of Automobiles for imparting training to young engineers and mechanics. This institute is located, at Ahmedabad. Shah has been associated with Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) for long as a member of the Council and the Director of FADA Academy. He was a Chairman of the Committee formed by ARAI. He was also the Convener of a Sub-Committee set up by the Association of Indian Automobile Manufacturers for assessing demand for vehicles. He has served as the Chairman of Indian Road Development Association. As the Chairman, Shah attended International I R F Conference in Seoul. S P Shah was the Vice President of FADA during the year 2007-08 Nikunj Sanghi, Vice President Nikunj Sanghi, B Com (Hons), ACS, LLB, is the Managing Director of J S Fourwheel Motors Pvt Ltd located at Alwar, Rajasthan that is 3-S dealers of M&M Ltd, Mahindra Renault and Hero Honda Motors Ltd. He also deals in Portable Engines and Gensets of Honda Power Production Ltd. A well-known person in Alwar and Rajasthan, Nikunj Sanghi has received number of awards for his business performance and social work, including - Rajasthan Government Citation for Contribution to Beautification of Alwar City; Best Service Dealer for Honda Power Products Ltd; Roll of Honour for Best Human Resources Policies amongst Mahindra Dealerships; Roll of Honour for Best Systems and Processes amongst Mahindra Dealerships; Certificate of Merit for Best All-Round Performance amongst Mahindra Dealers for the Years 2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06 and 2007-08; and Certificate of Merit for Best All-Round Performance among Tractor Dealers for 2003-04, 2004-05 and 2005-06. Having been a member of FADA Council for a number of years, he was Hony Secretary of FADA for the year 2007-08 and its Hony Treasurer during the years 2005-06 and 2006-07. Sundeep Kumar Bafna, Hony Secretary Sundeep Kumar Bafna, born on 21st June 1970 in Mumbai, is an MBA from Westchester University, USA. Sundeep, who is spearheading the Fortpoint Group, is the force providing momentum its automobile division. The Fortpoint group of companies is the authorised dealers of Hero Honda, Maruti Suzuki India, Eicher Motors and Piaggio Vehicles. He is believed to be the first one to offer customer services like cyber cafes, cafeterias, play stations, car clubs and Fortpoint Suvidha in automobile centres. He has been associated with FADA since 1994 and a member of FADA Council for a number of years. He is also the Chairman of Automobile Dealers Association of Maharashtra (ADAM) and has been the driver of activates of FADA in the state of Maharashtra. He is a widely travelled person and has been to various countries across globe. Ashish M Gupta, Hony Treasurer Ashish M Gupta, based in Chandigarh, is the Executive Director of Hind Motors (I) Ltd and Managing Partner of Hind Motors, dealers of Tata Motors for the company's passenger vehicles and Bajaj Auto Ltd for their two-wheelers, respectively. Well-known in business and social circles in Chandigarh, Haryana and Punjab, Ashish represents the third generation of the family that has made a significant contribution to the promotion of retail automobile trade. He has been actively associated with FADA as a Council Member for a number of years. He was Hony Secretary of FADA during the years 2005-06 & 2006-07 and the Hony Treasurer during the year 2007-08. He has played a pivotal role in organizing automobile dealers and helped hold a number of meetings at Chandigarh and various parts of Punjab.
