President Visits Maruti Plant

Hon'able President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, visited the Maruti's factory in Gurgaon on May 25, 2007. He was accompanied by Governor of Haryana, Dr AR Kidwai and a number of ministers and bureaucrats of the Haryana Government.

 
The President spent around ninety minutes visiting key areas of the various operations at the factory. Apart from looking at Maruti's R&D facilities, the President also showed keen interest in the production processes at the factory. During his visit, he also addressed and interacted with a large group of Maruti employees.
