Nikunj Sanghi Takes Over as President of FADA

At the Council Meeting held immediately after the AGM on 24th July 2010 at Hyderabad, Nikunj Sanghi (Alwar) was elected the President of Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) for the year 2010-11.

At the same meeting, Mohan Himatsingka (Patna), KVS Prakash Rao (Vijayawada) and Mukesh Jain (Delhi) were elected as Vice President, Hony Secretary and Hony Treasurer, respectively, for the year 2010-11.

Nikunj Sanghi, B. Com (Hons), ACS, LIB, is the MD of J S Fourwheel Motors Pvt Ltd located at Alwar, Rajasthan that is 3-S dealers of Mahindra & Mahindra, Mahindra Renault and Hero Honda Motors Ltd. He also deals in Portable Engines and Gensets of Honda Power Production Ltd.

He was also a dealer of Kelvinator of India Ltd and LML Ltd for the sale, service and spares of their two-wheelers in the past.

A well-known person in Alwar and other parts of Rajasthan, Nikunj Sanghi has received number of awards for his business performance and social work, including - Rajasthan Government Citation for Contribution to Beautification of Alwar City; Best Service Dealer for Honda Power Products Ltd; Roll of Honour for Best Human Resources Policies amongst Mahindra Dealerships; Roll of Honour for Best Systems and Processes amongst Mahindra Dealerships; Certificate of Merit for Best All-Round Performance amongst Mahindra Dealers for the Years 2003-04,2004-05,2005-06 and 2007-08; and Certificate of Merit for Best All-Round Performance among Tractor Dealers for 2003-04,2004-05 and 2005-06.

He is actively engaged in community activities in Alwar and other parts of Rajasthan in various capacities, such as, Member, Rotary Club, Alwar; Trustee, Rotary Charitable Trust; Trustee, Jaipur Calagary Eye Hospital; Trustee, Rajasthan Swasthya Yoga Parishad; Vice President, Makhanlal Charitable Trust Blood Bank, Alwar; and Life Member of Bal Hit Shiksha Samiti Educational Society.

Nikunj is also associated with various professional/business organisations for the promotion of business and professional activities. Amongst the various positions held by him are: Advisor - Tractor & Automobile Dealers Association, Alwar; Member - Managing Committee, Center of Excellence, ITI, Alwar; Member- Industrial Advisory Committee, Government of Rajasthan; Chairman - Alwar Chapter, The Institute of Company Secretaries of India; and Chairman - Dealer Advisory Council, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

Having been a member of FADA Council for a number of years, he has held various offices in FADA including the offices of Hony Secretary and Hony Treasurer as well as Chairman of FADA's various committees, in the past. He was the Vice President during the years 2008-09 & 2009-10 before taking over as the President.

Mohan Himatsingka, Vice President

Mohan Himatsingka, B. Com (Hons) from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, is the Managing Director of Maurya Motors Ltd, a Commercial Vehicle dealer of Tata Motors Ltd. He is also the MD of Shankar Motors Pvt Ltd, a Passenger Car dealer based in Patna, Bihar.

Himatsingka has been engaged in family business since 1974 in passenger and goods transport, auto fuel retailing, mining, auto retail and hire-purchase & leasing business.

Having been associated with FADA for a number of years, he was Hony Treasurer of FADA during the year 2009-10.

KVS Prakash Rao, Hony Secretary

KVS Prakash Rao, 41 and a Post-Graduate in Business Management with specialisation in Marketing, is the MD of Garapati Autoventures Pvt Ltd and Managing Partner of Garapati Garage, located at Vijayawada, which are dealerships of Mahindra & Mahindra. He is also the Managing Partner of Ramcor - dealerships of Piaggio, Eicher and New Holland Tractors and the Proprietor of Kaiser India, a company dealing in Honda Power products. He joined the family business in 1991.

He is also the Treasurer of The Andhra Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

He has been actively associated with FADAforthe last 5-6 years.

Mukesh Jain, Hony Treasurer

Mukesh Jain, 58, is a Chartered Accountant and has been in automobile business as dealers of Bajaj Auto and Hyundai Motor India at Delhi for the last 38 years. He also has a vast experience in transportation of vehicles as fleet operator. His expertise lies in costing, finance and marketing.

He has been actively involved in the activities of FADA for over two decades.
